Your septic system relies heavily on the soil surrounding it to complete the process of transporting wastewater from your home. The composition of the soil will determine the effectiveness of transporting that water. Soil that is a high clay content can create all kinds of drainage issues however soil that is porous will create more ideal drainage conditions.
